Art 43 Basel: Art Feature: 20 gallery-curated projects

The Art Feature sector at Art Basel focuses on curatorial projects presented by
galleries. With 19 out of the 20 selected exhibitors not having shown in
Art Feature last year, the sector's dynamic selection ensures a fresh mix of
galleries and thus continues as a space for the discovery of new talent. Chosen
from over 200 applications, this year's sector includes galleries from Brazil,
China, Europe, South Africa, and the United States.

Kunsthaus Zürich joins forces with Fondation Hubert Looser

An outstanding private collection of modern and contemporary art is coming to the Kunsthaus Zürich, thanks to a new agreement with the Fondation Hubert Looser. Focusing on Abstract Expressionism, Minimal Art and Arte Povera, the Looser Collection will be exhibited in the Kunsthaus extension on long-term loan from 2017, and will ideally complement the museum’s own holdings.

A Year In The Making: New Paintings By Val Hudson at Galerie LAST

It is around six years since Val Hudson last exhibited at the gallery LAST, or indeed at any other gallery. During this time Val lived and worked at a Buddhist retreat centre in Wales, leading retreats and tending to the centre’s extensive gardens. The few paintings she produced there sold quickly to visitors and friends.
