"Veracruz" - Oil on Canvas - 60 x 45 cm   Throughout my travelling and living in different cultures, what   always strikes me most is people,   and to observe how they express, think and move in life.

I have chosen women as the main subject   of my paintings in an attempt to understand their position   in the world, and to recongize in them the essentials of feminine nature,   independent of culture, race, or religion.

Another subject that relates both to women   and space are Madonnas in Latin American cultures,   and the position they occupy representing a wonderful   symbiosis of earthly femininity, fertility life   and heaven (space) This is what inspired the   painting UNITY, that I did for the Ars Ad Astra Exhibition   on the Mir space station.
